Mr. Charles Blow wrote a poignant Op-Ed for the New York Times. I understand and respect his niceness and professionalism as a respect and thoughtful Op Ed Columnist. However I think he missed one particular Culprit flying under the radar that I think should be exposed and taken to task. Senator Harry Reid of Nevada!
Below is my reaction to Mr. Blow’s peice.
The real culprit here is Harry Reid! the Democratic Senate Majority leader from Nevada. No matter what permeates in the passing or failure of the Health Care Reform. Spineless Harry Reid needs to go.
He is the one who anointed Rep. Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa as Deal Maker / Breaker on this issue. The Democrats has a majority in the Senate and Harry Reid appointed a panel of 3 Republicans and 3 Democrats to take the leadership in driving a Health Care bill in the Senate. That just makes no sense!
I bet you no Republican would dare do such a thing.
At times I truly wonder if the words of Rush Limbaugh are manifesting in the action of certain Democrats in both Houses of Congress.
They want Obama to fail!

That guy has been useless from day one. I honestly don’t know what value he brings to the table either. Better yet he seems to worsen the table.

I don’t think it’s as much about wanting Obama to fail as only being concerned with themselves and their own lucrative connections to whichever “constituents” have bought and paid for their Congressional seat.
They did the same thing to Bubba back in 92, ensuring that the Democratic majority was lost in the 94 elections and that nothing went through – no matter how center right the Big Dog moved trying to appease their BS.
Democrats suck – they are just like Republicans but worse because they PRETEND to be different.
Color me Independent.

Coco! yes you are correct in providing the habitual ways of conducting business by these folks… Why do they public should continue that go the poll voting them in to do the bidding of the corporate and special interests with deep pockets…
Your last statement perfectly summarize why these politicos get under my skin so… The PRETEND to be different… That is why I have some sort of s thin thread of respect for Giuliani the psycho of mayor we had… at least the has the gull to blunts about his arrogance and self serving interests…

Mayo,
You are being much too nice with Sen. Harry Reid… that man is not interested in bringing any value to the table. Funny how he can instantly grows a pair of steel balls once BHO got elected.
He made it clear that despite the overwhelming votes with which BHO won the presidency would not carry any influence in the Senate.
The same man who could even breathe during the last year of the previous administration even as a Majority Leader… That goes to show me that his action are selective, calculated and deliberate.
